How did it all start?
Blue Lumen was a project that took months to shape. Creating a website to share my prints was only the starting point. I’ve been photographing for years, collecting thousands of images that live quietly on my computer—some of them drifting across old Instagram collections. But this time, the challenge was different: I needed to sit down and curate a truly cohesive body of work.
But where to begin?
When you’ve explored so many styles and subjects, choosing a direction can feel endless. In my early years, I photographed anything that sparked my curiosity. Now, I wanted to be intentional, to think not only about what represented me as an artist, but what would bring presence and beauty to someone’s space.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to photograph remarkable homes in the Hollywood area, many of them styled by talented interior designers. Walking through those spaces taught me a lot about taste, balance, and what people choose to surround themselves with. And every time I stay in a hotel, I study their art and design choices with the same curiosity.
All of this guided me when I returned to my old catalogues to find the images that felt timeless.
A few months later, Blue Lumen is finally online and open to the world. Looking back, the last six months were about more than reviewing countless files. They were about seeing Blue Lumen not just as a personal project, but as a growing brand.
Curating the images was the joyful part. But creating fine-art prints is a craft of its own. I reached out to different photo labs, researched museum-quality papers, and tested how each texture interacted with my photographs. The details mattered—how the tones settled into the paper, how the print felt in the hand.
And that was only the beginning.
In the months ahead, I’ll share more about this process, paper selection, printing, and the small decisions behind every piece. I’ll also tell the stories behind some of these images.
Thank you for being here. I hope you’ll continue to follow along, whether here or on my social channels, as Blue Lumen grows into something created for both you and me.
